Dr. Steven Prager joined The Salinas Allergy Clinic in 1996. He treats patients of all ages with allergies, asthma and immune problems. Dr. Prager attended medical school at The University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He then trained in pediatrics at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles. Upon completion of his training, he spent a year working as a pediatrician in Arcadia, California. Dr., Prager then underwent specialty training in Allergy and Immunology at the National Jewish Clinical and Research Center (N.J.C.) in Denver, Colorado. While at N.J.C. his research delved into some of the causes of severe steroid-dependent asthma. He has presented his research at the national conferences of The American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Prager is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAA&I) and The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He is on staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, and Natividad Medical Center. He is also a past president of the American Lung Association of the Central Coast. Dr. Prager works with Camp SuperKids; the Monterey County summer camp for children with asthma.
